Laramie, WY University of Wyoming. This project for the University of Wyoming Manufacturing-Works, a MEP Center, involved developing a strategy as well as articulating that strategy in a proposal for 5 years of funding from NIST. Performed in partnership with Camoin Associates.
Falmouth, ME Town of Falmouth. With Camoin Associates, we developed a comprehensive economic development plan for this suburb of Portland, ME, building upon its existing opportunities as home to several technology-based corporate campuses.
Charlottesville, VA. Thomas Jefferson Partnership for Economic Development. Technology Assets Inventory.

Washington, DC. Pew Foundation. Business Incentives Policy and Practice Initiative.
Harrisburg, PA Pennsylvania Manufacturing Extension Partnership Center. The seven existing MEP Centers in Pennsylvania engaged Innovation Policyworks and Camoin Associates to help them develop a plan for a single center for the state, working closely with the Department of Community and Economic Development.
Newport, RI. Newport County Chamber of Commerce. Feasibility Study and Business Plan for new Innovation Center.

Newton and Needham, MA N2 Innovation Corridor. Another joint project with Camoin, this project for the Newton and Needham (MA) Chamber of Commerce is to develop a strategic plan for an innovation district. Since most innovation districts are moving to urban areas, the challenge was to reimagine this collection of three 1950’s era suburban industrial parks. One bright spot is the new headquarters of Trip Advisor (shown above).
St. Louis, MO Missouri Enterprise. Missouri Enterprise, the MEP Center for Missouri, asked us to help them develop their proposal to NIST for the recompetition of their Cooperative Agreement. Performed in partnership with Camoin Associates.
Baltimore, MD Maryland Economic Development Corporation. Finance Program Study with Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness (CREC) that reviewed twelve Maryland economic development incentives and financing programs. Innovation Policyworks LLC focused on the biotechnology and cybersecurity investment tax credits and program managed the entire project.

Elmira, Corning, and Big Flats, NY I-86 Corridor Strategic Plan. With Camoin Associates, we worked with the Cities of Corning and Elmira and the Town of Big Flats, NY to come up with a plan for the transformation of the I-86 Corridor into an innovation-based economy. Based on our analysis of their strengths and assets, we worked collaboratively with community leaders to identify a number of projects for a statewide competition. One project was chosen for funding: a research center focused on the future of transportation equipment.

Portland, ME. Environmental and Energy Technology Council of Maine. (E2Tech). Cluster Study of Clean Technology in Maine.

Allentown, PA. Allentown Economic Development Authority. Review of existing incubator program and recommendations for revitalization.
